Witcher 1 Potion Quick Slots
What morfor said, you hold down 'up' in the dpad and it'll rotate to the secondary slot. Then you press 'up' to use the potion. Same thing for the 'down' slot. You can either equip them on your quick slot and use them by pressing up or down button, or you can manually use them inside your inventory by pressing the Square Button (Y on Switch). Using potions increases your toxicity meter which limits geralt's use of potions and decoctions. Using a potion fills up a portion of your Toxicity. Potions are made with alcohol, oils with grease, and bombs with powder. You are allowed three slots for a strong base, four slots for a high quality base, and a full five slots for a top quality base. Meditating for 1 hour is sometimes enough to get rid of all toxicity in Geralt's body, enabling the player to keep effects of potions that last more than 1 hour with no toxicity in order to drink other potions. Italic text in Effect column reflect the in-game text on the medallion area when a potion is used.
Hotfix 1.35 for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was released by CD Projekt on August 5, 2011.
